There are another five internal 12’ x 12’ stables, and outside, a block of six external stables, also 12’ x12’, with automatic drinkers and individual lighting. Each stable has a rug rack, tack peg and stall guard. The paddocks Over 32 acres in total, with post and rail fencing. There are also two stallion paddocks, with extra high post-and-rail fencing, close to the barn area. Sand school Our 60 x 20 metre all-weather sand school has been built to BHS-approved standards. There is a full range of jumps suitable for all skill levels. Hacking There is easy access to an extensive network of bridleways and hacking in the surrounding area, and the Downs link bridle path is close by. Tack room There is a large, secure tack room with comfy chairs; a place to relax. There is also a separate kitchen area. There is plenty of storage space for owners’ tack, rugs and personal belongings, and a toilet for clients’ use. Preparation bay The indoor preparation area can be used for clipping / washing/ farrier / vet or for preparation for shows. Car parking There is ample daily car parking space. Farriers Our main farrier is Dan Birchall, but we also use three others, with a choice of natural balance or traditional shoeing. We can arrange shoeing and trimming at 4, 5 or 6-week intervals. All farrier expenses to be paid by owners. Vets We work closely with our vets at Arundel and Priors Farm, and we also use Shotter and Byers, and Mayes and Scrine. Physiotherapist We have regular visits from our equine sports therapist and osteopath, Liz Oakenfold, whom we and others highly recommend. |
